Jinsei dojo is a not for profit organisation dedicated to helping communities by making sport accessible to all.
Recently Jinsei has supported our local council attending Summer Schools and Outdoor activity centres to showcase Karate and volunteering activities.
Karate can help with wellbeing in a number of ways, including: Mental focus, through repetitive action, Stress reduction through deep breathing meditation, Self-worth, Self-esteem, Assertiveness without being aggressive or violent. Mental balance through meditation in motion. Karate can help people learn to overcome the stress of failure, which can help them deal with challenges in work, school, or life.
The Jinsei dojo is located at St. Paul's Church Hall, Clapgate Lane, Wigan WN3 6SB (Map below).
Classes are Monday 6.30-7.30 Beginners, 7.30-8.30 Advanced, Wednesday 7.30-8.30 All Grades
Sensei Amanda Kershaw - Instructor, black belt 3rd Dan 10 years experience current European Champion and gold medal winner and World Championship Silver Medalist.
Sensei Martin Kershaw - Joint Chief Instructor, black belt , 3rd Dan, 10 years experience.
We are a non-profit community interest club making sport accessible to the community by teaching traditional Shotokan Karate in a safe, family friendly environment with qualified experienced instructors who are first aid trained and DBS checked.
We are proud members of Kanzen Karate which is one of the largest federations in the UK, through which our students have access to WUKF local, national and international events and tournaments.
