While in Poland Sensei Amy attended the official WUKF Referee course and officiated on a number of mats during the course of the tournament while she was being assessed for her qualification.
Officiating in a major tournament takes a great deal of stamina as the days are very long and demanding with very few breaks.
On Sunday evening the news came through that Sensei Amy had passed her qualification and awarded the level of Kansa.
Sensei Amanda with Senpai Ben and Oliver travelled to Poland to compete in the European Championships a very prestigious event which included over 2000 athletes from 64 federations and 20 countries.
With our Federation friends Kanzen, Sensei Amanda, Ben and Oliver won Bronze medals against the best Karate Athletes in Europe which is a fantastic achievement.
Well done all!!!

The European Championships run from Wednesday 9th October to Sunday 14th October we wish our athletes the best in their endeavours.
Four of members of the Jinsei Tournament Squad were nominated for the Young Sports Achiever of the Year at the annual Wigan Believe Awards. 37 Athletes from multiple sports around the borough were nominated for this prestigious award which is awarded to the sports person that has shown dedication, hard work and most improvement over the past 12 months.
